Dear Friends:
As you may already know, our new writing journal You Should Be Writing is coming out on June 16th, just a few days from now. It's an odd time to launch a
book. Between the pandemic and the civil rights revolution, I tread carefully.
Except for essential trips, Ed and I continue to isolate. We watch the news and try to determine how to be allies while not contracting the virus or spreading it to anyone else. I recently blogged about my own white privilege and racism and am taking daily actions and posting them on Twitter for accountability.
I hope the new writing journal, which includes quotes from many writers of color such as Jenim Dibie, will serve as a place to record musings, grand plans, and the details of life as we're currently living it. The idea behind the journal was to help people get their much-needed words on the page. There's never been a better time to write.
To help propel this writing journal into the world, I'd love you to join my Launch Team. If you already agreed, thank you so much! I've put the Nine Things You Can Do That I Can't on my website.
Early word of mouth can make a huge difference in getting a new book off to a great start, especially now. That's why I'm asking for your help.
Please have a look. Even one small action can help.
As always, thanks so much for your time!
Take care and be well.
~ Nita
